India

This is where we spent 3 wet days: The Corbett National Park. The view we had from our room: overlooking some of the world famous Corbett National Park. You can see from the green all around it is the middle of the monsoon season.

One of the many local Enfield riders we passed on our travels through India.

This the top of the Rotang Jot Mountain Pass. 3895 m above sea level. We crossed over this pass on our way from Manali heading for Ladakh in North India.

In the monsoon season, the rain melts the ice and icy rivers form  that cause dangerous rockslides within minutes. Here we turned around and headed back to Manali. If only we had continued up over to Leh, where it is too high for the monsoons???

Manali Pass.

Another "catty" rest stop while travelling through Northern India.

We meet a Swiss couple in India who are also heading for Oz. They were travelling on the rather heavily load Triumph Tiger.

A common sight in India, especially on the roads - domestic Water Buffalo.
